Playing amongst the tables and chairs on Sunday afternoons, roaming the hallways, nosing around behind the bar... That's what childhood was like for us, Restaurant Arumí's third generation of proprietors.

The story begins with our grandparents, Pepet and Carme, who opened a small bar in Santa Eugènia de Berga serving stews and traditional cuisine. The start of a saga that has lasted over 50 years.

With time, their children took over and, alongside their spouses, boosted the family business, committing themselves to using new products and turning Ca l'Arumí into one of Osona's most renowned and prestigious restaurants.

At the age of 19, Jordi Arumí, the youngest grandchild, decided to follow in the family footsteps and began studying at the Osona School of Hospitality, during which time he interned at the famed Fonda Sala in Olost. There, alongside his mentor, Toni Sala, he learned the value of good cuisine and hard work, as well as the importance of local, high-quality products, values which guided him throughout his formative years and are now an integral part of this new project.

Since then he has worked with numerous Michelin-star chefs:

Drolma amb Fermí Puig (Barcelona), Via Veneto amb Carles Tejedor (Barcelona), Celler de Can Roca dels Germans Roca (Girona), Zuberoa d'Hilario Arbelaitz (Oiartzun - Donosti) , Azurmendi d'Eneko Atxa (Larrabetzu-Bilbao)

Boundless enthusiasm, family support and a desire to enjoy and provide enjoyment are the essential ingredients of this project: Arka.

An elegant, intimate restaurant located inside Hotel Arumí, here the procession of aromas and textures titillates the palate from the first to last dish, blending our land's traditional cuisine with Basque trends and a touch of modernity.
